Acer Palmatum
Marjan
The new leaves are a bright pink red in the spring, before turning a purple-red for the summer, then yellow-orange and red in the autumn. The purple red-colour is similar to ‘Bloodgood’. The medium sized mainly 5-lobed leaves are deeply divided. Each lobe is ovate with a long pointed tip and fairly evenly toothed margins- not as coarsely toothed as most of the other cultivars from the Matsumurae group. Grows vigorously and upright and reaches about 4 mtr ( 13ft).
